While the hotel is situated at about 3 km from the lift, the value for the money highly... read more compensates for that distance. The family owned hotel is managed by the entire family. Hospitality and service are core values. Breakfast and dinner are fine. Do not expect luxury or high cuisine, but the traditional family cuisine is very tasty and honest. Rooms provide all the necessary features.
I enjoyed every single day!

Marco and his family... read more (the father omnipresent in the bar department and the mother, an excellent cook who always reminds me of how my grandmother cooked) have put all their energy, but above all their passion into everyday life.
You forget that you are a guest because they truly make you feel like you are at home.
A special mention to the chef for the exceptional tiramisu and Russian salad which, in my opinion, can beat starred chefs!!!

  A great family run hotel  - We have just come back from a fabulous 4 day break skiing at Valtournenche. The hotel Punta Cian was fabulous. It is a family run hotel, small and not... read more too flash, eg no spa but it has all the charm of a family home. Marco will do anything he can to help and his parents are always around to assist. His mother is the chef and his dad, Guido, the Bar tender and Tina is the waitress. The food is great, not fancy minimalism but heart warming after a days skiing.
The hotel is about 1.5 km from the valtournenche lift, which connects to Cervinia and Zermatt. Lots of runs in total. We had a hire car and drove right to the lift, where there is free parking. However Marco will drop you up there whenever you want and pick you up.
They are so kind, and the family really do make you feel welcome. Go you will not regret it.
